Maya Mathias haTucsonRetreat_StageIntroMois spent 20 years leading diverse cross-functional teams of all shapes and sizes, and across 3 continents, in hyper-growth and ever-changing industries like advertising and technology.

Maya delivers enlightening wisdom to leaders in creative, bleeding-edge or high-stakes settings.  She helps them release leadership patterns that aren’t serving them anymore, and shows them how to embrace new leadership principles so they can thrive in a turbulent and globally-connected economy.

Her life began with a lower-middle class upbringing in Asia, surrounded by poultry & vegetable farms and the ‘simple life’.  Several decades later, Maya remains humbled by the twists, turns, trials and triumphs that have successfully led her through 4 career transitions, to a rewarding leadership development practice in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Her expertise spans an eclectic range of interconnected disciplines: biology & brain science, leadership development, personal growth, corporate training, innovation management skills, business & marketing strategy, content strategy, website usability, business communication, improvisation, professional coaching & mentoring, team management and motivation.

She has worked with and for Ogilvy & Mather, IBM, HP, Microsoft, Polycom, Cisco, Singapore Airlines, Intercontinental Hotels Group and dozens of other notable brands, taking their mission-critical projects from the brainstorming whiteboard to sustained multi-million dollar marketplace success.

Maya has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biology, an MBA (with a specialty in Information & Knowledge Management) and is certified by the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), America’s #1 coach training school.

She divides her time between the San Francisco Bay Area and Singapore.  Maya’s inspiration comes from the performing arts, libraries, mother nature and her loved ones.
