Nelson Mandela passed away today at the age of 95.
He was one of my childhood leadership heroes, the epitome of personal leadership, monumental forgiveness in the face of adversity and a powerful agent of global change. R.I.P. Nelson Mandela…my heart goes out to all who loved him, learned from him and will be inspired by him.
In his own words…
“Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity.” ~ Nelson Mandela 1996
In this special edition of the Inventive Links Report, I share 3 reasons why I’m mourning the passing of Nelson Mandela.

3 Reasons Why I’m Mourning Nelson Mandela
Reason #1: In a sea of loud & ‘look how great i am’ leaders, he had a quiet charm, dignity & strength that moved mountains.
Reason #2: He understood the power of peaceful dispute, that you don’t beat violence with more violence…you beat it with love & forgiveness.
Reason #3: He inspires us all through his vulnerability & immense humanity. When South African President Zuma announced Nelson Mandela’s passing today, he said “What made Nelson Mandela great was precisely what made him human. We saw in him what we seek in ourselves.”
I believe that we all have the capacity to be a little, or a lot, like Nelson Mandela.
